Join us on 29 April, 11 AM – 12 PM for an exclusive webinar, “The AI Revolution in News: Ethics, Risks & Opportunities” featuring industry experts from the BBC, Microsoft and more! This event marks the launch of Impress’s AI Guidance, designed to complement the Standards Code and provide a framework for ethical AI adoption in journalism.
As AI reshapes news creation, it’s crucial to balance innovation with ethical responsibility. Impress’s AI Guidance highlights AI’s risks, helps publishers assess its role in their workflow, and ensures that any use of AI in newsrooms balances the need for human editorial judgement with machine efficiency to tell the stories that really matter.
Developed after a global review of AI policies, consultations with experts in natural language processing and the regulation of AI content, and a 6-week public consultation, the AI Guidance is now ready to launch. This webinar will bring together industry experts to discuss the future of AI in newsrooms and how we can ensure responsible use moving forward.
To celebrate this new guidance, we will be hosting a webinar from 11:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, April 29th where industry experts will offer insight into evolution, implementation, interconnectedness between AI and journalism.
