The Impress Standards Code is a modern Code that aims to assist journalists by promoting and supporting their work. It also aims to protect the public from invasive journalistic practices and unethical news reporting.

We are a not-for-profit regional online newspaper that supports citizen journalism. Our aim is to publish well-written, fact-based articles and opinion pieces on subjects that are of interest to people in the West of England and beyond (Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Herefordshire, Bath, and Bristol). In doing so, we seek to demonstrate democracy in action by giving a voice to local people and holding our elected representatives to account.
