The Impress Standards Code is a modern Code that aims to assist journalists by promoting and supporting their work. It also aims to protect the public from invasive journalistic practices and unethical news reporting.

Newham Voices (print)

Newham Voices is an independent not-for-profit community newspaper written for local people by local people. We publish monthly in print and online, offering a platform for individuals and organisations to share their news, views, and concerns. We are funded by advertising, donations, and membership subscriptions. Our commitment to quality information is based on accuracy, fairness, independence, humanity, and accountability. We aim to bring neighbourhoods together and help strengthen democracy across the Borough, celebrating Newham’s successes while holding public authorities to account. Our commitment to strong citizen journalism is backed up with a free training programme available to anyone who wants to write for us.
