BSME Talent Awards: Impress members nominated for magazine honours

We are delighted to offer our congratulations to the Impress member publications who have been nominated for awards by The British Society of Magazine Editors!
The BSME Talent Awards celebrate achievements, best-practice and innovation within magazine journalism with both Prospect and gal-dem among the nominees.
Prospect have been nominated for two awards, with Ethan Zuckerman up for Specialist Writer and Mike Turner recognised for his design work.
Despite closing their operation earlier this year, gal-dem have also been nominated for a number of awards.
Growing Up With gal-dem has been nominated for Best Podcast, while Riann Phillip is in contention for the Unsung Hero award.
The gal-dem editorial team as a whole has also been nominated for the Diversity and Inclusion Award, giving the publication a chance of an impressive hat-trick on the night.
Impress Chief Executive Lexie Kirkconnell-Kawana said:

“I am thrilled to see the hard work of our member publications deservedly recognised and would like to add my own personal congratulations to both gal-dem and Prospect for their outstanding work.
“If you still need convincing that adopting the highest UK press standards equals recognised high-quality journalism, you need look no further.”
The BSME Awards will take place on Tuesday, 6th June at 18:00 and tickets can be booked until 2nd June. More information can be found here.
