Meet the dedicated, insightful and creative team behind Impress.

Lexie is a New Zealand qualified barrister and solicitor who has worked in all forms of media regulation. She has previously worked at the Advertising Standards Authority in the investigations team and at the New Zealand Office of Film and Literature Classification, an independent state media regulator, in a research and semi-judicial capacity. Lexie also has an avid interest in London’s arts and culinary scene.

Catherine is a regulatory and customer experience consultant with a particular focus on high-level complaints handling. She joined Impress in Spring 2023. She has an extensive background across both private and public sector which spans financial services during the financial crisis to managing the complaints division following the re-launch of TSB bank in 2013. More recently she headed up UK&I Escalations for the L’Oréal Group and also managed the Professional Standards offering for The Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA). She is passionate about customer service and putting the customer at the heart of any business. Catherine loves to travel, is a self-confessed ‘foodie’ and her happy place is completely off-grid at her parents’ home in the Lake District.

Anjali recently completed her Masters in Marketing at the London School of Economics and Political Science and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from a recognized University in India. Prior to joining Impress, she has demonstrated experience as the Social Media Strategist at a travel start-up and later, led 360° marketing campaigns for consumer brands as the Digital Marketing Manager at a creative marketing agency. She is keenly interested in audience behaviour and consumer analytics and harbours the approach of thinking as a consumer first, marketer second. Off the clock, she indulges in reading, going to live theatre shows, and exploring every hot chocolate stop in London.

Tanmaya has completed her undergraduate studies in Economics from India and holds a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from King’s College London. She has over 4 years of experience in fundraising and donor relationship management working for social sector organisations in India. She has successfully built, developed, and led sustainable partnerships with major foundations and corporates. In her spare time, Tanmaya enjoys ticking off items from her long travel bucket list, refining her baking skills and exploring the city.

Tom completed his undergraduate studies in Law with Spanish at the University of Liverpool and subsequently undertook the LPC at BPP Law School, where he was able to explore areas of interest such as media law and dispute resolution. He previously worked at Opus 2, advising lawyers on the use of a cloud-based platform designed for litigation and arbitration teams. In his spare time, Tom enjoys writing and producing music, as well as playing tennis.

Hamish is a Scottish designer and journalist based in London, with a passion for photography, visual communication, and coffee. His background is in music, film, and food journalism in the UK and Australia, with an undergraduate degree in English & Politics from the University of Aberdeen. His current MA research at Goldsmiths University is looking into how journalism can redesign itself sustainably for the 21st century.

Louie completed his undergraduate degree in journalism from Kingston University in 2018, going on to write for the likes of FourFourTwo, NME, Football365 and various Reach PLC publications. While he is a Peterborough United fan, when Louie isn’t despairing over the latest results, he is also an avid reader, music lover and gig-goer, currently in the process of teaching himself to play the piano.

Alexander joined Impress as Business Support Assistant after previously working at the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) as a Payroll Officer. He studied Politics at Nottingham Trent University and gained a passion for media through modules he studied there, writing his dissertation on the Hillsborough disaster and the press’ response to it. Alex has a keen interest in football and is a Watford season ticket holder.
