Annual report 2024-25
Our information ecosystem is in serious trouble…Whilst publics the world over continue to identify ‘information integrity’ as a primary concern, few governments and large corporations share this sentiment, nor are they acting with the resolve and urgency this moment requires. Institutional trust is a fatality of this disconnect. Regional initiatives to shore up information integrity remain sparse, unlike the global fascist movement, which operates with coordination and substantial financing to sow disinformation and hateful narratives, interfere in elections, and fracture our communities.
Finding, growing and creating value for audiences saturated with today’s media options is no modest undertaking. Yet there exists a wonderful independent and ethical media sector in the UK resolutely focused on that. For as long as we are still here, Impress will nurture that wellspring of hope, regulating, educating and providing redress to support a healthy information ecosystem for all.
